Video footage of Mark and Monkey testing out the new tractor tread trail feature that we installed yesterday. We made several adjustments to it using some trial and error engineering.
Due to some questions from abroad:
Basically this is a rubber-coated metal tread removed from a scrapped tractor. It weighs several hundred pounds. We laid it over several notched logs embedded in the ground and tested it. First try (not in the video) caused a total endo, as the drop between logs caused the bike to get stuck. We changed the spacing and shimmed up the valleys. Next couple of tries caused us to bottom out (using a bashguard no less). It's rideable now, but definitely not something to try at high speed!
